Slow River (2011)
Vibraphone, guitar and cello
Slow River was written for the Ordlyd ensemble.
A short motif in the cello undergoes slow changes throughout the movement, accompanied by various figures in the vibraphone and guitar. The work utilizes the musical technique “Mobile”, where different layers of music in individual tempos, metrics, and styles are combined in a simple pattern of chords. These chords slowly modulate through all keys in a never-ending sequence, creating a musical texture with very few or no dissonances.

Slow River (2011)
