Program Note

In English

Ember (2008)
Sinfonietta (wind quintet and string quintet)

Ember is an arrangement and instrumentation of the final movements of In Liquid… (2008) for accordion and orchestra.

The work begins with baroque-inspired music that gradually transforms into a fluid perception of time. In the closing section, the tempo freezes into a nearly static state – evoking a sense of long-lost times that live on in our memory and merge with our presence in the here and now.

Duration app. 5-6 min

In Danish

Ember (2008)
