Nocturne (2007/2010)
Clarinet, cello and piano
Nocturne is a work in three parts. The first section features a lyrical clarinet melody supported by gently falling piano arpeggios and marked notes in the cello and piano, culminating in an intense, expressive burst before returning to its initial lyrical mood. The middle section is rapid, evocative of a dense fog of music where individual tones emerge like small drops of sound. The final part returns to the opening material, varied in both form and melodic content.
The work consists of three movements:
  1. Andante cantando poco rubato
  2. Vivace moderato con anima
  3. Andante cantando poco rubato

Klarinet, cello og klaver
Nocturne er et værk i tre dele. I første del høres en lyrisk klarinetmelodi over blidt faldende akkordbrydninger i klaveret og markerede toner i cello og klaver. Dette afbrydes af et ekspressivt udbrud, der kulminerer i en fortættet musik, før den lyriske stemning vender tilbage. Den midterste del er hurtig og minder om en tæt tåge af musik, hvor toner stikker ud som små dråber af lyd. I den sidste del vendes der tilbage til udgangspunktet i en varieret form.
Værket består af tre satser:
