Accordion solo

Commissioned by and dedicated to Vincent van Amsterdam.

Encore begins with slow, mournful music that gradually develops and becomes more insistent, both rhythmically and in musical expression. The opening material returns in a more outward-looking version before the work concludes with a brief coda featuring rapid repetitions of notes from earlier in the piece.

The work exists in two versions:

• Encore (app. 6:30), pages 1 - 8
• Encore, short version (app. 3:30), pages 10 - 15

Encore begynder med langsom, sørgmodig musik, der gradvist udvikler sig og bliver mere indtrængende, både rytmisk og i det musikalske udtryk. Musikken fra begyndelsen vender tilbage i en mere udadvendt version, før værket slutter med en lille koda med hurtige tonerepetitionerer fra tidligere i værket.

Værket findes i to versioner:
